To make a delicious Emperor Fish Omelette, you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 500g Emperor Fish fillets, deboned and diced
- 4 eggs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to taste)
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil (for frying)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Fish:
- Clean the fish fillets properly and dice them into small pieces.
- Marinate the fish with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Omelette Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and beat them well.
- Add chopped onion, green chilies, tomato, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to make a uniform mixture.
- Cooking the Fish:
- Heat a pan and add oil for frying.
- Once the oil is hot, add the marinated fish pieces.
- Fry the fish until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Remove the fried fish from the pan and set it aside.
- Making the Omelette:
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.
- Pour the prepared omelette mixture into the pan.
- Let it cook for a minute on medium heat until the bottom starts to set.
- Adding the Fish:
- Now, spread the fried fish pieces evenly over the partially cooked omelette.
- Gently press the fish into the omelette mixture.
- Finishing the Omelette:
- Carefully flip one side of the omelette over the other using a spatula.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the omelette is cooked through and golden brown on both sides.
